This book was written for the Christian who feels there is something missing in their walk. The Christian who has accepted Christ, who has given their lives to Him, but yet feels that they are really not where they need to be. This book was not written to make you feel good about yourself, nor was it written to tell you that you are just fine where you are in your walk. If you want to feel complacent in your walk, then you need look somewhere else, because this book will surely "step on toes". This book will challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and step outside of the "religious" nature of Christianity, to really examine what God requires of you for you to be considered a disciple of Christ. In essence, this book was written to challenge you to be more than a mere Christian (to coin a phrase from C.S. Lewis) and to become a true follower of Christ; To do more than pay lip service, be more than a "sunday Christian", to actually turn your life over to the one who gave His life for you. As the introduction says, there are many people who will read this book and get nothing out of it. There are some who might read the book, then consider it worthless, or read it out of curiosity to see if there is anything for them, but then when the book calls for sacrifice or suffering, throw the book away. Many are fine when they are told all of the great things God has given them, but when it comes to learning about what God requires of them, they lose interest quickly. Within the pages of this book the author challenges you to examine your own faith, or rather your own walk with Jesus Christ. It will challenge you to rethink many things, to reexamine your own beliefs about things such as: Love Prayer The Bible The Church and Worship By the time you have finished this book, you will not be the same person you were when you started reading it, if you are truly desirous to serve God. If you are happy in your religious service, in being a part time Christian, or in following the crowd, then you might as well not download or read this. This book was not written for the timid, for those who simply are content on being a part-time Christian, who are content on just acting the part, but have no intention of getting deeper, of going the distance... this book is not written those who don't want to grow. But... if you want to really know God. If you want to really grow in your faith, to go beyond the scope of "Mere Christianity", to be what God has called you to be, then please download this book, read the message herein and follow those things given to you by the Holy Spirit. If you are ready to become what you were created to be, if you are ready to be what God says you can be... if you are ready to start down that narrow path that Jesus has beckoned you to walk - then this book will help you find that path... or rather His Holy Spirit will help you through this book. His Holy Spirit will show you, through this work (which is based on Scripture throughout), how to forget those things which went before, casting aside all worry and doubt, and to seek ye first the Kingdom of God.
