There are also some Celtic-style blessings included.Designed to be suitable for both personal use and for those asked to lead worship within small groups or in acts of worship.'Ripples' is a versatile resource that can be used throughout the year, covering as it does many themes found within the special Sundays celebrated in many churches.John Birch is a Methodist local preacher and leader of worship based in South Wales, and an experienced writer of prayer resources. He is the author of 'The Act of Prayer', a comprehensive volume of contemporary prayers published by BRF (Bible Reading Fellowship) based on themes arising from the three-year-cycle of readings in the Common Lectionary used by many churches, along with many other Bible study and prayer resources self-published online on his website faithandworship.com which has a world-wide following. Prayers written by John Birch have been translated into Swedish, used in books published by the Leprosy Mission, several denominational magazines and even formed the basis for several choral works.
