He challenges himself to express vulnerability, insecurities, and discomfort as he deals with finding his purpose in the world as well as witnessing the overwhelming events of racial prejudice against African-Americans in forms of police brutality and socialization. He also deals with the sudden event of a romantic break up, learns solitude, faces unresolved family trauma, and adjusting to the new normal in the event of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Confronting these situations helps challenge his identity development, brings a new perspective to life, and forces him to accept the imperfections of himself.
