Sometimes we feel it is selfish to take care of ourselves or to even think of ourselves before others. However, it is not. Each of us is worth taking care of because without our health, we can't function to help others. Sometimes we are afraid to heal because of the responsibilities that are associated with wellness. Some would rather die than deal with the realities of the world, yet some die in their healing. I believe we are healed when we are one with God. That does not mean that we are necessarily "cured" of our disease, but we are at peace, knowing that all will be all right no matter what happens. It is through honesty, responsibility, commitment, action, and faith that we acquire the freedom to live a fulfilled life!
