Mercy is part of the nature of God. Mercy denotes His deep compassion and love, not just feeling or emotion. God's mercy cannot be exhausted. In Christ, both mercy and truth come together. If you look over your shoulder you'll see mercy has been following you (like a little puppy) all the days of your life. God has been so merciful to me, more than I ever deserved. So, this book is written, near the end of my life, to give hope to those who desperately need it.
