Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, previously known as Dynamics AX, is Microsoft's business application for enterprises. The new version contains a multitude of news and has a complete new architecture. In addition to the brand-new user interface and new and updated functionality, it also entails a transition to BI functionality based on Power BI, a whole new integration framework based on Data Entities and a very large amount of news for developers. It also is much more coupled to Lifecycle Services (LCS) as well as the brand new cloud-based licensing model.
