This book offers an in-depth study of Fratelli d'Italia, the party lead by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. After a concise history of the neo-fascist (Msi) and post-fascist (An) parties to which Fratelli d'Italia is heir, it examines its founding phase, the party's statutory rules and internal organization, and the cornerstones of the national conservative ideology embraced over time by Giorgia Meloni, the international network of alliances in which Fdi fits and its place in European Union politics, the characteristics of the leader's communication, and the composition of the electorate that made Giorgia Meloni and Fratelli d'Italia so successful in the 2022 parliamentary elections. Based on a detailed, well documented, rigorous and impartial analysis, the book provide an overall interpretation of the path FDI has taken and the identity it has built in the first ten years of its life, of the fortunes and virtues that have led the heirs of a political tradition destined to become extinct to take over the 'leadership of the Nation'.
