"A woman has to live her life, or live to repent not having lived it." Work is a matter of necessity and survival. But still women also continue to undertake the majority share of domestic chore Thus work can interfere with family and family can interfere with work. This bidirectional nature of work-family interface is important because the consequences of the interference will affect one's life satisfaction. Thus Work life balance and Life Satisfaction of Women is sought. The concept of work-life balance is that work and life are separate, and the spheres are in conflict and that balance is sought between the two spheres. Not only balance is sought, the promise is that balance, once achieved, creates contentment i.e. satisfaction. Hence, a good working definition of, Work-Life Balance & Life Satisfaction is the meaningful daily achievement, & enjoyment, in each of the three work- life triangle, which includes: Work, Self & Family.
