Elizabeth has left an oppressive marriage, bought a farm in the mountains of North Carolina, and established a successful health-food store. Now Mary (yes, the Holy One) has drawn her into Project: Earth Rescue. Using Elizabeth's voice, Mary appears on Elizabeth's farm, urging busloads of women to become activists on behalf of saving the planet from destruction. Only Angelica, Elizabeth's daughter, takes the call seriously, joining a cadre of eco-terrorists. At the same time Mary abandons the appearances in frustration over women's lack of commitment.
