Relocated to Essex, Xavier finds himself one of the only Black residents in his street, workplace and neighbourhood. As resentment towards the new regime simmers beneath the surface, he is caught between hostile neighbours, dangerous colleagues and a government that insists harmony can be engineered. When he uncovers a growing conspiracy that could reignite the country, Xavier must decide who deserves his loyalty - and what he's willing to sacrifice to survive.
