This is an engaging memoir about Northern Michigan; in particular the marvelous countryside and the wonderful people that choose to live in this abundantly verdant area of the State. We recently read an article in the Detroit Free Press stating that our Governor, Rick Snyder, says that "Michiganders are too humble. We don't brag well." Without a doubt we have a lot to brag about and after reading this book, we think you will be convinced that Northern Michigan, has something for just about everyone's taste. It seems there is always so much talk about how beautiful the States are in the far west and northwest, and surely, they are. But, if you truly love the outdoors, and want to enjoy unbelievably, beautiful country throughout the year then "up north" in Michigan's Lower Peninsula is the place to be.
