After their parents were killed, Jessie felt as if she were the only one her brother and sister could count on. Not wanting to be separated from her siblings, she lied about her age and the three were placed into Judd's orphanage. Jessie soon realized that Judd and his brother had other plans for them and the night of their escape was just the beginning of their problems. Stealing Judd's money and horse led to a bounty, which then led to Bishop, who ended up being a bounty hunter.

Bishop had plenty of problems of his own. After years of chasing the man who killed his father, he decided it was time to return home to his mother and grandfather. The last thing that was on his mind was capturing the orphan gang, but that was exactly what he did. Chasing after them and keeping them out of trouble became his daily past time.
