A vision received by the shaman of the lycanthrope tribe harboring the remains of the task force sends the Nemesis, Alex Chance, and a few others on a quest to find the power that will signal the end of the vampire reign. Along the way, they encounter a group of refugees and the protected city of Sanctuary. It is there that the first battle of the Vampire War will take place.
