In near-future London, mysterious influencer and provocateur Valeria Primera is arrested on live TV and whisked away to a lab, accused of being an alien. K, an old follower and self-proclaimed beta male, comes to her defence to tell her extraordinary story.

K traces Valeria's rise from troubled teenager to powerful figure in the gender wars sweeping the world. When she ends up at the centre of a national crisis, he feels compelled to set the record straight. After all, he knows her better than anyone. Or perhaps he only thinks he does.
