As a religion which imposes no creed or dogma on its followers, Unitarianism is not easy to define. This short book introduces readers to Unitarian values and principles by means of a simple question-and-answer format, based on questions that people have actually asked when encountering Unitarians for the first time: questions such as "Where does the word 'Unitarian' come from?" ... "Are Unitarians Christians?" ... "Is there a Unitarian morality?" ... "Do Unitarians mix religion with politics?" ... "How do Unitarians view sexuality and gender identity?" ... and "What do Unitarians think of other faiths?". The author warns: "This text is not the Unitarian party line, for there is no party line.
