In less than a hundred years, the humans of Earth have exited the Solar System and partnered with the giants of Zannia to find their common ancestors. The massive Library inside Spaceport Zeta finally revealed a direction and a destination that now beckons them deep inside the Milky Way Galaxy to the remnant of a galactic supernova floating in space. The 12,000-mile-diameter geode is a foreboding planet with living clouds that feast on the massive insects infesting the ruins of civilizations long dead. But, if mankind is to answer the age-old questions of WHO ARE WE AND WHERE DID WE COME FROM, they must journey 44.5 lightyears through a tenuous wormhole system, penetrate the geode's 150-mile-thick crust, and ask the questions of an unfriendly civilization living on the inside of the hollow world. The beings have been accused by some of playing God. Starships Omni-Star and Cosmos, crewed by both humans and giants, will escape near disaster in their quest for the answers. When the diminutive species finally reveals the truth, some will be enlightened, some will be disappointed, but all will be astounded. The answer will change the future of Earth and Zannia forever.
