This book involves scrutiny of the doctrine of legal transplants - corporate governance transplants, in particular. It focuses on the viability of Western corporate governance transplants to certain South Asian countries. It specifically sheds light on the corporate governance regimes in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan as transplanted from the West. It questions the feasibility, robustness, resilience, and congruity of the regimes in light of their local conditions, values, norms, culture, and ideology among others.
