This book provides practical guidance to pre- and in-service educators on how to deliver social and emotional content intentionally and systematically.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) has garnered increasing attention for its potential to address a range of social, emotional, and academic challenges, from motivation and cooperation to relationships and life success. Translating Pedagogies of Social and Emotional Learning into Practice presents five core pedagogies-modeling, practice promotion, transfer promotion, elaboration, and validation- exploring how each can be used to scaffold students' SEL.

Driven by an original framework, this systematic approach will help educators develop a tailored SEL implementation blueprint for their classroom, school, and beyond that, factors in students' diverse identities and needs.
