The first book of Ryan Fernando, "Today and Tomorrow" is a short collection of 21 poems of variegated styles, subject matter and themes. Fernando explores and expresses ideas, experiences and sentiments that are betrothed to aspects of his life, from loneliness and mental struggles to understanding what it means to be a person through passion and disenchantment. It is Fernando's hope that his words reach that part of like-minded readers that yearns to be heard and understood but is without the words to be so. Ryan Fernando is a first generation Canadian of Sri Lankan descent, and writes pieces with a variety of themes including: mental health, loneliness, self-acceptance, and more.
