Aprašymas

Kate Anderson has led a life of privilege, sheltered from the world's harsher realities. But when her mother passes away, that life changes. Kate changes. Deciding to leave behind her ordered existence, she accepts her uncle's offer of a teaching position at Hollingshead, one of Scotland's best schools. In a new country and facing and uncertain future, Kate realizes a freedom she's never known.

Colin Baxter knows all about freedom... and the lack of it. As director of Westerley Secondary School, he's spent the last ten years working in Edinburgh's roughest area, with young people marked by poverty and violence. Now, Colin learns his school is slated to close. The students will be transfered across town --- unless he can convince the school board to accept a different plan. Colin wants the students moved too, but not across town. He wants them integrated into Hollingshead.

In the midst of a growing conflict, Kate comes face-to-face with new thoughts and opinions... her own. Can she trust them, as they lead her away from everything she's known? And can she trust her heart, as it leads her directly into Colin's arms?
