In the spirit of Cruising Diaries (Set Margins', 2025) or Cruising Pavilion (Spector, 2026), Through Bodies and Buildings examines architecture as a spatial apparatus that organizes bodies, regulates desire and structures collective life, while testing how gender nonconforming and sexually dissident bodies challenge and transform these regimes. Authors including Jack Halberstam, Tavia Nyong'o, Damon Ross Young and Chus Martínez discuss spaces such as movie theaters, tearooms, tunnels and abortion clinics through the lenses of queer theory and postmodernism.
