It's only through the grace of God that we have any worthwhile standing at all. We are NOT the innocent party here. Jesus is the innocent one. This is not about the unfair scenario of the good suffering. Rather, it is a case of sinful people being forgiven by a loving God. This is why I emphasize that, although this is my privileged spot, it is not my space. God owns it. I just graciously occupy it. Why God? Imagine trusting everyone and everything for something as important as life and eternity. Being that everyone and everything is different, your faith would rise and fall daily depending on who is in charge. There must be a central focus that has control over the ultimate outcome to make your faith valid, and that person is God, through Jesus Christ. It is good to know that since Jesus was nailed to the cross, we are not nailed to our sins. Forgiveness is just a request away. This assures me that "MY SPOT" is continually of God because of his love for me. This is part of my new mercies every morning, and I pray it's the same for you!
