Ramifications" consists of eight chapters and deals with the investigation of some spatially homogeneous and anisotropic cosmological models in the frame work of f(RT) theory of gravity proposed by Harko et al. (2011) and in scalar-tensor theories of gravitation formulated by Sen (1957), Brans-Dicke (1961), Nordtvedt (1970) and Saez-Ballester (1986), which are viable alternatives to Einstein's (1915) theory of gravitation.

Cosmology is the scientific study of the large scale properties of the Universe as a whole. It endeavors to use the scientific method to understand the origin, evolution and ultimate fate of the Universe in which people live in. Similar to any other field of science, cosmology involves the formation of theories or hypotheses about the Universe, which makes specific predictions that, can be tested with observations.
