Aprašymas

This book contains lectures that I had the honor of offering

in early 2024 for the William W. Menzies Lectureship at the

Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines. It

had been over twenty years since the first time I gave the Menzies

lectureship at APTS, which made my return trip an enjoyable

opportunity to form new acquaintances. Besides knowing and

respecting the person after whom these lectures are named, I also

welcomed the opportunity to join a dedicated and globally-diverse

student body and faculty in a common commitment to theological

reflection. I had the distinct impression while I was there that we

were all seeking to be faithful to the Word of God, respectful of

the milestone breakthroughs of theological history, and open to

engage the contextual challenges of our time.
