Canadian journalist, Jessica Ringo, an old friend, arrives in Lagos and finds him as he flees from attackers who want him dead because of what he witnessed. The two realize that the police and the state security service are involved with the assassinations and cover up. Her association with him ropes her into the wanted list and they become the most hunted pair in a country where laws are made to be broken. Their world turns into a living nightmare where every moment involves a desperate struggle for survival.

When Jessica is captured, Samuel finds the man who has the information as to why a number of people would have wanted the vice president dead. Jessica receives help from an unlikely source as Samuel sets the stage for the greatest political cleansing ever - a move certain to cost them their lives.
