This book is part of the "Hurricane Tolerant Community" (HTC) series. The guide is based on everyone's need for sound hurricane planning with an emphasis on reducing losses to individuals and communities. The chapters are geared to providing hurricane mitigation knowledge to empower homeowners, professional individuals, organizations and communities. This book is designed to make you think about your house and location in relationship to a hurricane event. Hopefully, the book will prompt you to act in developing a hurricane survival plan. The expectation is for each participant to develop a proactive role in planning for a hurricane event.
