Even though the ideal of a free market world economy sounds appealing, and an overbearing government structure can hinder the profitability of the most successful businessmen and women, this somewhat minor disadvantage for a few at the top, is outweighed by the needed protection of hundreds of millions of US citizens otherwise, it seems. That is why so many of us see the value in ample Federal Government oversight, particularly of the largest companies, and over the practices of the banking and investment industries, as well as those who would otherwise disregard considerations that affect the masses in seriously negative and unfair ways.
More and more in recent years, US citizens have been experiencing a government of tyranny, led by Republican lawmakers and the heads of the largest companies, in general; and this has certainly become magnified ostensibly by the Trump administration, since 2017. It is simply astounding to so many of us, the number of offenses committed against the interests of anyone other than the rich and powerful, under Trump's leadership; it seems to have been a careful blend of purposeful oppression and suppression tactics against us, mixed with a magnitude never seen before, of incompetence and a lack of acknowledgement of anything that would be at all relatively healthy, in any humanistic regard!
