The Trials of Chaukhandi - Second Edition (el. knyga) (skaityta knyga) | knygos.lt

Aprašymas

Honor Killing is a crime. And we as a society has learned to be indifferent about it. According to Human Rights Watch in Wikipedia, "Honor crimes are acts of violence, usually murder, committed by male family members against female family members who are perceived to have brought dishonor upon the family." Honor Killings are widespread on a global spectrum.

The Trials of Chaukhandi is such a tale. It is written on a true crime that took place in Baluchistan, Pakistan in 2008. The story lives on my machine and those who experienced it are not here to tell you, their story. It was published on the Asian Human Rights Commission for a short while and I happened to capture it.

The story revolves around a strong protagonist in a surreal landscape which is rich in dreams, time travel, and fantasy. Rich in anthropology and culture, the story is a roller coaster ride in and out of sweet memories and into a hellish pursuit seeking justice and peace. This is a 2nd edition of my book first published in 2020.
