The New York Museum of Art hosts the most fashionable gala of the year, a place to see and be seen, overseen by museum director Melody Holcomb. Melody wants only la crème de la crème of society, arts, and business at this annual fundraiser, which supports the museum’s endowment and is key to her efforts to attract visitors, lucrative partnerships, and major donors, who are flocking in droves in hopes of securing a ticket.

This year’s gala celebrates a new exhibition, Jewels: A History. Many famous gems and iconic designs will be featured, both in glass cases—and upon the neck, wrists, fingers, and chests of those walking the red carpet. Including the centerpiece, the Orsini Blue Diamond—which has not been seen in over a century.
