After the catastrophic failure of the Temptation Project, Lucifer exiles Tarantula to hard labor in a remote cavern in Hell. Lilith, a powerful high demon, pays her an unexpected visit. Convinced that teenage humans are the perfect target for focused temptation, Lilith invites Tarantula to join her on The Surface for a second trial of the Temptation Project. Eager to escape her prison and salvage her reputation, Tarantula agrees.

Once stationed in a townhouse in Boston, she schemes with Lilith and the archdemon Balzac to lure two young mortals to their doom. But as Temptation Project II unfolds, nothing is as it seems. Plagued by her duties in a local animal shelter, thwarted by interfering humans, and wary of her co-conspirators, Tarantula grows more anxious by the day. For her, the stakes couldn't be higher.
