Aprašymas
Compiled and arranged by Sir James Thomas Knowles in 1862, this classic work organizes the sweeping legends of King Arthur into a clear, chronological narrative. Drawing primarily from Sir Thomas Malory's 15th-century Le Morte d'Arthur, Knowles chronicles Arthur's rise to power, the guidance of Merlin, and the establishment of the fellowship of the Round Table.
The book preserves the themes of chivalry, honor, smiting your opponents, and tragedy while updating Knowles's archaic dialogue for modern readers. It follows the major quests of knights like Lancelot and Tristram, the search for the Holy Grail, and the eventual fall of Camelot.
