The Spirit of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Spirit of Love, Mercy, and Grace. The Blood, which Jesus Christ shed at the Cross of Calvary is very valuable to God; and He wants all men to be cleansed and washed by it. Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ; but the Law was given through Moses. And we operate by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, Who is the Spirit of Grace and Truth. We are to put our minds and motives on love, grace, mercy, and Truth, instead of on the spirit/attitude/motive of 'tit for tat'. The spirit whose aim is to be destroying men's lives is not the Spirit of God, but carnal spirit and the spirit of the devil. But this does not mean that God cannot kill somebody in this New Testament dispensation, because He can kill now. However, He kills and destroys at His Discretion, Wisdom, and Decision. But the kind of desire, prayer, motive, and attitude, whose aim is human destruction, comes from unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, and revenge. It is contrary to the Holy Spirit and Spirit of Christ Jesus our Lord.
