Beautiful socialite and philanthropist, thirty-three-year-old Camille Angelo, has rid herself of her cheating husband Frank, but her damaged heart is still under repair. Recovering from a nervous breakdown, she has not had an easy time putting the pieces back together. To make matters worse, she views herself as a walking cliché --which she loathes. But despite everything, Camille secretly retains her hope for love and romance to revisit her someday.

Though for the time being, Camille likes her life just the way it is...simple and uncomplicated until her sister Carol convinces her to venture out of her comfort zone and try online dating. After some coaxing, reluctantly, she finally agrees and opens herself up to the possibility of finding love again. Though it is unconventional in her world, Camille gives online dating a whirl.
At first, it is fun and even a little exciting but this decision is one that she quickly regrets. When her life begins to feel like its spinning out of control once again, much to her chagrin, it is at the hand of a man who has questionable if not deviant motives.
To Camille's relief, Brooks Everett--her new gardener, serves as a welcome distraction. With his sinfully good looks, complete with dimples and a knowing sexy smirk, he provides Camille with ample diversion from all the craziness that is beginning to surround her. However, what she does not realize is there's more to her new landscaper than meets the eye. While he is sexy, seductive, and in control, he is secretive and evasive with a past that refuses to give up its hold on him.

With so many forces working against her happiness, will Camille ever find her happy-ever- after? Or will she continue to be the cliché that she so desperately wishes to leave behind.
