Travelling through the ink on the page to the moment the words were written, she witnesses the circumstances and conversations that shaped the text firsthand. At first delighted that her magic can be used for good, Kira soon faces a moral dilemma, since what she witnesses is not always transcribed accurately on the page. Deliberately so. Should she reveal what truly happened, even if it shatters cherished beliefs and puts lives at risk, including her own? Or should some secrets remain buried in the pages? Kira's decisions are put to the test when she travels to The Weald to recover the Crown of Unity. In the ancient forest kingdom, she learns more about her magical heritage, but as a result, faces a far greater danger.
