When the king of Northumberland is looking desperately for the treasure of the Night Watch Knights that would help him save his land from a financial chaos, Frayne Albinson protected the secret of the knighthood treasure and refuses to reveal its location to any human being even for the king himself. But, Frayne never expected treason from his best friend Alfred who sold his secret to the king. The king showed no mercy, either the treasure or the Knight's life. Frayne chose to die with dignity rather than betray the Night Watch Knights and was mercilessly burned to death and he chose to offer his soul to Aka, the god of the Vampires. Destiny seemed, however, to have a different plan for Frayne. The beautiful Adeline appeared in his way looking for her brother and family; she promised to help Frayne be human again. Frayne's story is about betrayal, love, dark battles and a journey to find the impossible. When everything seems to be hopeless, when every sense of love dies with Frayne after his best friend betrayed him, will he be able to trust again?
