When her village's sacred red stone is stolen, it seems like her chance is finally here. Against the advice of her elders, she embarks on a quest that will take her into a magical, underground world of mythical creatures with mysterious influence over life above ground.

Thousands of years later in that very same village, the mining industry that drives

communities is crumbling. Reserves are running out, mines are shutting down, miners are mysteriously disappearing. Like Keyne before her, Ruth Skewes is drawn into a search for answers as she attempts to uncover the invisible forces affecting her mining village of Redruth.

Coming face to face with Piskies, Ruth must learn the secrets of living in harmony with the natural world if she is to save her own. Haunted by her visions, dreams and glowing red hands, she will soon learn if she is to be Redruth's saviour, but will it be enough to last through time?
