Ted wonders why every woman he meets and starts to love ends up waltzing off into the sunset with some other guy. Maybe nice guys really do finish last. Then he meets Annika, who seems like she was made for him...but can it really be that easy? Or will she love him and then leave him when someone better comes along, like Holly and others before her?

Annika moved to America with her husband, who was killed when their life together had barely started. Alone in a strange country, her future suddenly a shambles, she accepts a friend's invitation to come out to the Oregon coast and stay as long as she likes. An accident brings her into the circle of people who were brought together by Maude's beach cottage, and as they take her to their hearts Annika begins to see that love can blossom when you least expect it.

Here is an opportunity to revisit the characters of Beachport, Oregon, for a look at what's been happening in their lives-Holly's wedding, Kate's baby, and someone new who comes to live in Maude's little cottage by the sea-while it's Dr. Ted's turn to look for love, this time in all the right places.
