Unlucky in love and needing a fresh start, Nelson Bontrager moves to Marigold and opens an artisan deli. Soon his reputation for quality products grows and customers line up outside the door. He needs help, and he's willing to hire anyone except pushy Ella Yoder.

Outspoken and feisty, Ella's personality is completely opposite from her subdued family--and most everyone in the small town of Marigold, Ohio, including Nelson.
