The Wild West was a hazardous, unpredictable, and sometimes deadly time and place to live. But what would happen if fierce, gun-toting, fast-draw outlaws of the past were to meet face-to-face with the wonders of ingenious futuristic technology? What if the smartest scientist of our day were somehow to slip back in time to the old West along with his modern equipment and devices? Well, this is exactly what happens to Professor Bix Coffen and his friends.
Bix conducts a physics experiment involving time-travel that accidentally sends his entire basement laboratory -- along with himself, his girlfriend Rachel, and his close friend Grip -- back in time to 1878; a 200-year journey. They make new friends, and learn of their friends' common enemy, Grayson, who has expansionist goals. Bix is compelled to invent new weaponry -- in reality harmless anti-weapons, to neutralize the dangers they face. Along the way they have a host of adventures, some pleasant, some dangerous, some humorous.
The story follows the Professor's quest to get himself and his friends back home, and at the same time help his new friends along. Bix tames the wildest of criminals in this entertaining and heart-warming story of tenacity, ingenuity, friendship, and rekindled love.
