Part I explains what makes a peptide a medicine, from insulin to the incretins, and why peptides are hard to turn into drugs. Part II covers discovery and design in concept only. Part III follows a candidate through first-in-human studies, trial phases and the decisions of the MHRA, FDA, EMA and WADA. Part IV walks through approved peptide medicines area by area, with a regulator status matrix for each. Part V covers peptides in trials today, and Part VI sets approved medicines against the hype and ends with a checklist for reading any claim. Every source is cited by PMID or an official record.
