Aprašymas

This book seeks to revisit the relationships - both real and imaginary - between the New Right sphere of influence and National Socialism/Nazism, as well as between the New Right and what has been termed the German "Conservative Revolution" of the 1920s.

Since its inception, the New Right has been accused of sanitizing Nazi ideas. What is the reality? In light of historiographical advances regarding Nazism, the conclusion is unequivocal. While some members of the New Right have distanced themselves from National Socialism, many others within the movement have never severed ties with Nazi ideas. On the contrary, as this book shows, they continue to reference them or even acknowledge them as a significant point of reference. It also demonstrates that the theorists of the German Conservative Revolution of the 1920s-a reference point considered more "noble" than Nazism-were not as averse to it as often claimed. Finally, it highlights the interplay of mutual influence between the New Right and the American alt-right.

This book will be of interest to scholars and students of radical right-wing ideologies.
