Because of an inner need for healing and peace, N. L. Brumbaugh spent one year making weekly one-hour visits to the Meeting Place. The Lookout visits became a vital absorbing of the natural world, while in earnest she sought God through prayer and contemplation-with thoughts rich in tone and texture.
