Aprašymas

Uncover the magic of Disney parks past with the most spectacular archive of Imagineering to date from the newly discovered, never-before-published files of Marty Sklar, one of Walt Disney’s most trusted and influential Imagineers.

Writer and editor, creative champion, sought-after mentor, international diplomat, park overseer, leader of the Imagineers, and friend to all—Marty Sklar led a life devoted to the magic and dream of Disney, and his legacy lives on in its beloved parks. Just after his passing in 2017, hundreds of boxes of Marty's papers were discovered—and now, in The Marty Sklar Archives, these hidden gems are available for all to see.

This gorgeous, full-color coffee table book includes:

• A behind-the-scenes look at Imagineering over the decades
• Memos, drawings, speeches, and artwork from Marty’s desk
• Edited scripts and presentations, including a never-published book about "it's a small world" from 1963

Authored by Bob Weis, a thirty-five-year Disney veteran and the former president of Walt Disney Imagineering, in collaboration with Marty's widow Leah, and his children Leslie Sklar and Howard Sklar, and with the input of ninety colleagues who worked directly with Marty, this art-filled volume is a treasure trove of Imagineering history and a time capsule to preserve Disney magic for future generations.
