In the very near future, sisters Kim and Ingrid live in the last electric house in a rural valley that may be the final, tenuous bastion of civilization after a climate disaster ends the world as they knew it. Meanwhile, their friend, Harper, the Sherrif, struggles to maintain law and order among their neighbors, while Troy, a refugee from outside the valley, tries to make himself useful in the community that takes him in.
