Most of us enjoy a countryside walk or watching nature programmes, but what if you could capture a small part for yourself? Twenty-five years ago I felt the need to buy a small copse to manage and later replant the adjacent pasture. Every season has been hard work and good exercise, but the new skills learnt and the fun has been exciting. This book shows the steps we took to plant the trees and care for the habitat. Photographs are included to show the work done and the growth of the saplings to young trees. It will be of interest to anyone who loves woodland and nature and might give ideas about what can be done on a small scale in a reasonable size garden.
