Gwen has a BA in psychology, and training in computer information systems; for most of her life she worked as a systems analyst. When she wasn't at work, she danced on English folk dance teams. She also loves doing ceramics and stained glass as well as baking and gardening. She's gone to Outward Bound, jumped horses and solo backpacked. She has a Golden Retriever and is married to a soil ecologist at UCSB.
