Aprašymas

Why is it that, regardless of the rhetoric and intent of whichever political party is in power, things stay pretty much the same for American citizens?

Building upon the characters first presented in The Journal, this is the story of the power of the unelected bureaucracy in shaping and controlling events, regardless of which party is in power. In The Journey, Ferd Greco and Clancy Fifnik, ex-special ops leaders now in Congress, encounter forces in government far more sinister and pervasive than anything they have ever seen. Career bureaucrats, in collusion with elected officials who have neither conscience nor term limits to constrain them, shape some of the pivotal moments of US history presented during a relatively brief period of time. Greco and Fifnik's discoveries galvanize them to action, particularly when the consequences of doing nothing are a threat to life and liberty.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary as a republic, its journey as a nation has seen many a dichotomy between professed views and actual practices. Much like the individual journeys we and these characters are on, we must often break free from self-interest to the sublime realm of sacrifice and service, the very ideals upon which our nation was founded.
