The "residents" of the beach park where Thomas and dozens of other homeless San Diegans sleep in their cars are strangely disappearing at a rapid rate. With the help of his twelve-year-old daughter, Big Mac begins rebuilding his life and clearing his name. But when the two get sucked into solving the mystery surrounding the park, Thomas realizes he has a lot to lose-but he puts it all on the line to do the right thing. If he succeeds, he's a hero. If he fails, he's a footnote-another former football player who died before his time.
