She renewed acquaintance with Roy West. They had graduated from High School together in 1949. Two years after Ken's death, she married Roy.

It also includes her travels to Europe- England, Cornwall, Devon, France, Holland, Germany and Italy. A trip on the Orient Express took her to Turkey which borders Eastern Europe and western Asia.
