After dedicating her life to the path set by her controlling senator grandfather, Cordelia Liu has finally risen to the universe's seat of power, the Premier Commander. It's time to set aside burnout and the trading of political favors to embrace the brilliant career Cordelia has always imagined.

As the inauguration party winds down across the capital, Cordelia's vision is dashed. The elected position is a figurehead. As they have for every Premier Commander, a secret society known as The Last Assembly will continue making all major decisions for the government.

When a clandestine report circumvents The Last Assembly, Cordelia learns of a grave threat to the universe. She must escape the very office for which she campaigned to protect her citizens the only way she can: by confronting the threat on a strange planet called Earth.
